A buddy of mine and I sat down one day and came up with an idea for a comic about the crusades.  I threw this cover draft together for him to get a sense of the artistic tone we should take.  He liked it and I think with some time invested, it could make for an interesting short series of comics.
Typical me.  Always with projects in the works, and no finished projects to show for it.  I've been mashing my face on the keyboard for some time now and the result has been (mostly bloody keys) a few stories that I would like to tell if I get the time.  This poster represents one of them.  Hopefully, if I can get the band back together and let loose some directorial (Dragon) shouts, this will come together.

Honda GX240 MAX Motor Tune Up

It says 8, but I'm sure it's probably in the hundreds.
So, the go kart chassis I bought a few years ago did not come with a motor.  But, around the same time, the golf course I worked at got rid of this motor.  I recently had a bit of extra time on my hands, so I decided to fix up this motor and prep it for the go kart.  Hit the jump to see what that involved...

HPI Pro-D Clone pre-build

Liara Approves
Pictured above is the HPI Pro-D clone I got from here.  I bought it about a year ago, and since then it has been posted on my wall and collecting dust.  I think it's time to save the poor girl and put it to good use.  It's been a long while since I have had a proper rc-car so I am excited to get into the hobby again.  Hit the jump for a more detailed look at my plans for the project.

Blogatory Re-origination

Pic related - Ordering one this weekend
I'm straying away from trying to emulate other "geek news" blogs.  I mean, really...  What's the point.  I'm turning this into an outlet for my hobbies and art, which serves two functions.

  1.  Provides an insight into some things that boggle me, and might boggle others.
  2.  Inspire me to get back into doing things that I like to do.

That being said, some things you can look forward to seeing from now on include:

Model builds.  (Gundam, cars, Star Wars, mechs, anything else I can get my hands on)
RC builds.  (First up, this HPI Pro-D Clone that has been collecting dust.)
Costume builds.  (Looking into building a Biker Scout get-up.)
Story telling.  (Lots of ideas for upcoming art projects and films.)
  Game observations.
  Updates on other projects, etc...

So....... for the few out there that share my interests and can benefit from any of the knowledge that I have gained and will be sharing, cheers.  I appreciate the clicks.

Egoraptor talks about Megaman X

I'm a huge fan of Egoraptor.  I'm also a huge fan of Megaman, specifically Megaman X.  Now I know, old video is old, but this video rocks.  As an aspiring video game designer myself, I found it especially inspiring and figured I'd share it with you.  Hit the jump to check it out.

Kerbal Space Program: first impressions

Sometimes this game is downright beautiful.
I introduce, an amazingly fun and interesting indy game called, Kerbal Space Program.  This game puts you in control of a budding space program on the planet of Kerbin.  At the time of this writing, KSP is in early stages of production and the game has been released as a free to play alpha demo.  Much like Minecraft's earlier days, the game acts primarily as a sandbox, providing the player with a "tech demo" and an idea of what things may be like when the game releases.
The good news is that, much like Minecraft, you can donate to the developer a small sum of $10 and receive all future updates of the game.  KSP, even in this early state, is a very enjoyable and even slightly challenging gaming experience that introduces enough elements and wonder to get you excited for things to come.  Hit the jump for a more detailed look at the game...

Randomness

Main Entry: 2random
Function: adjective
Date: 1632
1 a : lacking a definite plan, purpose, or pattern b : made, done, or chosen at random
2 a : relating to, having, or being elements or events with definite probability of occurrence

I have never been one for introductions, so let's just get to it. This is the perfect way to start this little experiment of mine. Random is, without a doubt, a word I would use to describe myself. I am going to be sharing some of my random finds with the rest of the world. Hope you enjoy the ride. It's gonna be pretty random.
